Mechanical Design CAD/CAM Prototyping Fabrication Control Systems

/ Overview

This was my college junior year project. This project involved the end‑to‑end design and fabrication of mobile basketball robots for a mini match. I designed and machined the custom mechanical parts, wired the circuit, designed PCBs, and programmed microcontrollers. Simulations and animations were created to validate the design.

/ Key Contributions

  • Designed and built mobile basketball robots, including simulation and animation
  • Gained hands-on manufacturing experience (lathing, milling, boring, wire EDM, and CNC machining) while fabricating robot components
  • Developed the electronic and control systems by creating circuit schematics, generating PCBs, and programming microcontrollers to achieve the desired motion control
